Who we are
This policy explains how Sprout House LLC (“Sprout House,” “we,” “us”), a Wyoming limited liability company located at 25439 Rockford ST, Hemet, CA 92544, handles personal information when you visit our website, contact us, or buy from us.
Information we collect
- Contact and order information you provide: name, email, phone number, shipping and billing addresses, items ordered, gift messages, and support messages.
- Transaction data collected at checkout: name, email address, billing and shipping address, payment card details (card number, expiration date, and security code), and order details. Card details are entered on our payment processors’ secure pages and are collected directly by them, not by us.
- Device and usage information: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and similar technical data, collected through essential storage and, only if you accept, optional analytics and chat tools.
- Marketing preferences: whether you have opted in to receive marketing emails.
Payment processing by Stripe and Square
We use Stripe and Square for payment processing. When you pay, the personal and transaction data listed above is shared with, and collected by, the processor you select so it can process your payment, prevent fraud, and meet its legal obligations. Stripe and Square are independent companies that handle this data under their own privacy policies:

Fraud prevention: Payment data, including information from failed or declined transactions, may be used by us and by Stripe or Square to detect and prevent fraud.
Incomplete checkouts: Information you enter during checkout may be collected and stored by us and by our payment processors even if you do not complete your purchase.
Identity verification: We do not use Stripe Identity or any other biometric or ID-document verification. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and ask for your explicit consent first.
How we use information
- To process, fulfill, ship, and support your orders, including returns, refunds, and cancellations.
- To respond to your questions and requests.
- To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, card testing, and abuse.
- To comply with tax, accounting, and other legal obligations.
- To operate, secure, and improve our website.
- To send marketing emails only if you have opted in. Starting or completing checkout does not add you to a marketing list; we use your checkout email only for order-related messages unless you tick the optional marketing box.
Payment security
Payments are processed by Stripe and Square, which are certified PCI DSS Level 1 service providers. We do not store card details; card numbers never pass through or reside on our servers. Our website uses HTTPS (TLS encryption) on every page, and we apply administrative and technical safeguards to the data we hold. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information. See our payment security statement.
Data retention
We keep order and support records for as long as needed to fulfill orders, handle returns and warranty issues, and meet legal requirements, generally up to 7 years for tax and accounting records. Transaction data may be retained for regulatory and fraud prevention purposes, including after you stop using our website. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Stripe and Square retain data according to their own policies.
International data transfers
We are based in the United States and store data in the United States. Our payment processors may transfer and process data in other countries, including the United States and India (Stripe) and other locations where they operate. For visitors from the EU, UK, or Switzerland, Stripe and Square rely on approved transfer mechanisms such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (and its UK and Swiss extensions) and Standard Contractual Clauses. By using our site from outside the United States you understand your data will be processed in the United States.
Children’s privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13. Our store sells children’s products to adults; you must be 18 or older to make a purchase. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and Stripe’s and Square’s services may not be used by children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including California, other U.S. states, and the EU/UK), you may have the right to:
- Know and access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Delete your information, subject to legal retention requirements;
- Receive a portable copy of your information;
- Opt out of marketing, of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, and of targeted advertising;
- Withdraw consent and object to or restrict certain processing; and
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To make a request, email contact@sprouthouse.toys with the subject “Privacy Request” or use our contact form and choose “Privacy or data request.” We will confirm receipt within 10 days and respond within 30 days (45 days where state law allows). We may need to verify your identity. You may use an authorized agent. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision. EU/UK residents may also complain to their local data protection authority.
For data held by our payment processors, we will pass on your request, or you may contact Stripe or Square directly using the links above.
Marketing opt-out
You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, by emailing contact@sprouthouse.toys with “Unsubscribe,” or by contacting us. We honor opt-outs within 10 business days. You will still receive transactional messages about your orders. You can change cookie choices anytime using “Cookie settings” in the site footer.
